OK..hither's the deal. Please DO NOT apply 2 Tbsp. of seasoned table salt in this recipe! This has to be a typo. It's so salty you can't eat information technology. I fabricated this recipe before & caught that mistake the terminal time, but...this time I was in a hurry & guess what? Poured in the whole amount of seas. common salt..oh,yuck! Realized what I did as presently every bit I poured information technology in. I didn't want to pitch the whole thing so I tried adding a couple of peeled potatoes to it (supposed to absorb some of the saltiness...information technology didn't). I was talking to my sister & she suggested pouring all the broth out (just discard it) but not the meat, bacon or veggies & and then rinsing all that off & starting over with more broth...it worked!! But this time, I didn't use any salt at all & cut dorsum on the Worcestershire sauce by 1/2. Perfect! It's a very proficient recipe if you don't spiral it upwards :)

This recipe makes a very good stroganoff but because of the extreme sodium and fat content I had to brand a few elementary adjustments. I used thin sliced round steak which tenderized nicely with the lengthy simmering, only 3 slices bacon and lowfat sour cream and but a little more than one-half the amount called for. To cut down on the salt, I used low salt beef goop and omitted the seasoned salt alltogether...2 tablespoons is a HUGE amount! I substituted Mrs. Dash garlic and herb blend and added no additional salt. So..small changes for health reasons and notwithstanding this had Excellent flavor. I but cook with fresh mushrooms so I used 8oz. of those. Thanks for posting...this truly was the best stroganoff I take always made. Family unit loved information technology!

Very practiced. Did brand some changes after reading reviews. Used thin sliced round steak strips and tossed them in seasoned flour before browning. The flour at this betoken thickened the sauce beautifully later in the dish and eliminated the demand for cornstarch. Completely left out the seasoning salt and tweaked the spices some, such as adding minced garlic and common salt & fresh ground pepper to the bacon, celery and onions while cooking. As well added a petty extra dash of worcestershire sauce after adding the fresh mushrooms. Served over egg noodles garnished with some shaved Parmesan Cheese with fresh green beans and seasoned tomato wedges. Fabricated a very squeamish dinner.

I am a guy who loves to cook and so I thought I would try this beefiness stroganoff recipe. It turned out great! My personal modifications worked PERFECTLY!. I used skillful round steak, threw the cut upward chunks in a plastic handbag with seasoned flour and coated the meat well. Browned/cooked the meat until it was slightly crispy and the coating was dainty and dark-brown. I used fresh "Royale" mushrooms (wonderful!), not canned, cut into pocket-size pieces and sauteed separately from the meat. Same with the chopped upward onions. Did Non add together (a)the bacon (too salty), (b)corn starch,(c)Worcestershire sauce, or (d)any salt. I used (1)can of Campbell'southward mushroom soup with (2)cups of water instead of beef goop. After all was ready, post-obit the recipe I institute here for times and such, put it all together in a dutch oven and let it simmer. Information technology was still very salty so I added white wine (Chardonnay) until gustation evened out the saltiness. Stirred in the sour cream but earlier serving, again to my ain taste. Start evening's dinner I used egg noodles and served to dinner guests. They went nuts! Loved it! Second dark, used the leftover stroganoff over white rice for myself. Both times information technology was Splendid! I guarantee this recipe will delight yous and your friends.

This was the all-time beefiness stroganoff I've ever made. I made 2 changes. First, I coated the beefiness stew cubes in flour earlier browning them. That eliminated the need for the cornstarch later on. I also think the flour gives them a squeamish crunchy, brown coating as well. Second, I left out the seasoning salt altogether. Didn't miss it at all. I think the beefiness broth has enough salt in information technology. This definitely is a total keeper!!
03/30/2007
OMG! This is so good. I e'er go by the comments. The comments are what makes this site better than whatsoever cookbook. I didn't employ any salt, went easy on the salary and celery, doubled the cornstarch, halved the worcestrieiuilsue(sp?), and used fresh mushrooms. The best ever! Plenty of season with no actress common salt and I'1000 a table salt-a-holic.
01/16/2003
This is a good recipe with a nifty flavor. I used ground beef and that cut the cooking time down to almost zippo. The bacon is peachy - I accept never had a stroganoff quite like this. I'k non sure that sauteing the mushrooms separately did annihilation for the recipe - at least the fashion that I made it. If using the stew meat, it probably would make a difference since you lot would be adding the mushrooms afterward a lot of simmering.

My family loved this meal when I made it for them. My mom, who doesn't eat large portions, asked for a 2d helping, and my grandfather, who is a very picky eater, cleaned his plate. I didn't use bacon, but, otherwise, followed the recipe to the letter of the alphabet. I agree with other reviewers that the sauce was a little runny, so adjacent time I will add more than cornstarch. In improver, I will use less salt, as it was a little too salty for my liking. All in all, it was easy to make, and I will definitely be making information technology once more. Information technology would be a smashing recipe to make for company, equally y'all can start it well in advance.
09/05/2002
I made this for our 26th wedding anniversary and it was a hit for the whole family. I don't utilise wine in my cooking and I was glad to find a good stroganoff recipe that didn't include wine. I, like others, used much less seasoned salt and fresh mushrooms. Very tasty, the bacon gave it an unusual and squeamish added flavour. We will make it again!
12/thirty/2008
This was my recipe I submitted a few years ago..Simply and so everyone knows the seasoning common salt corporeality WAS a typo..I don't retrieve if I did it or maybe it simply got posted incorrect. So sorry for any one who's dinner was ruined :(
07/14/2005
Very proficient! My husband loved it. I only used i tbs of seasoning salt instead of the recommended 3.. just seemed too much. I will probably use a bit more corn starch next time I make it as it was a little bit runny.
03/14/2011
Well, I fabricated the recipe as listed - because that's what I always exercise the get-go time fourth dimension around and didn't have time to read the reviews prior. Hither are my thoughts - this was the most excellent stroganoff I have ever eaten though it was extremely salty. I think the seasoning common salt and the bacon added such a wonderful flavor that I think that omitting them would change the dish. Next time I will use low sodium beaf broth, cut down on the seasoning salt and the amount of bacon merely other than that, this recipe is great as is and my family loved it (including my 3 very picky eating kids!).
01/12/2009
I liked, just family did not. They staTED TO seasonings and NOT the true flavor of stroganoff that we all beloved.
01/26/2010
I establish the flavour of this dish to be good. I liked the addition of salary and I substituted fresh mushrooms. However, I had difficulty getting the sauce to a desired consistency. I still felt that no affair what I did it was very sparse. I volition effort to modify information technology next time considering the flavour really was proficient.
01/04/2011
This is a cracking recipe but I did follow some of the other reviewers advice and cut mode down on the seasoning table salt, omitted the bacon (though I might endeavour it next time), and added garlic, blackness pepper, and Mrs. Dash, and rolled the meat in flour before browning. I similar the idea of not using cream of mushroom soup but also, past following another reviewer, I tin do that as well. I will definitely exist making this again! Thanks for sharing!
04/23/2009
I made the recipe the fashion it was except for the seasoned table salt, only because I didn't take whatsoever and so I substituted 1 tsp of my favorite garlic table salt. I gotta tell you....ya know when you go on eating even when your full........this is one of those recipes. It's now going to exist one of my everyday cooking recipes. Thanks so much for yet some other, much meliorate than boilerplate, budget stretcher. I love this site.
05/26/2010
this was actually skilful! Afterward reading reviews, I decreased the salt to i tbs and used fresh mushrooms. I will brand this again simply will also add fresh garlic. Great recipe! I gave it 4 stars because I had to "tweak" it.
02/17/2005
WOW. This was the get-go time I made this dish and it turned out to exist very good and a keeper. I made some adjustments due to the fact that I work till tardily and did non get-go cooking till 745pm. I used stew meat that i boiled for 15 minutes (as i was puting away the groceries)it also helped cut back on the cooking time. So i browned the meat, fix information technology aside. In the same pan i cooked the onion (did not accept any celery) and added some garlic every bit well. once the onions were translucent i added the meat to it. Added ane/iii cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup masala ruddy cooking wine, 1 can beef broth, and 1-1.5 tablespoon of lemon pepper. It gave it a adept zing. Then I permit the meat and the broth simmer for 20-25 minutes. in the mean fourth dimension i boiled the pasta and sauted the mushrooms and had my dinner rolls baking. In one case the pasta was washed, i added the mushrooms to the meat sauce and added the cornstrach mix (ii-3 tbspn cornstrach with a little bit of h2o). Once the sauce was think plenty I added the LIGHT sour cream (put a petty more than what the recipe called for. Permit the sauce simmer for ten minutes. Served rigt after with a pinch of black pepper on top. My young man liked it very much and had two plates full. His exact comment was "baby this sauce is perfect" and i nonetheless have left overs. I liked it very much and will brand it again. Give thanks you for the recipe.
04/25/2005
This was good but with the amount of beef broth called for information technology was more like stroganoff soup. Very tasty but not the typical stroganoff. Quite flavorful. Might make over again.
11/06/2011
Dear, Love, Love this recipe!!!! My swain is a picky eater... and a large hunter likewise! We both prefer it with venison... It may be with deer, or elk. Yet delicious either mode! :) I cut downwardly on the seasoning salt (ALOT!) and utilize back strap or tenderloin... which people may call back is strange, it cuts downwards on cooking time and too makes it pretty tasty... but I as well understand most people don't have that kind of meat to throw into stroganoff.. It'southward withal very tasty with venison steak every bit well!... I don't know if its a typo in the recipe, but a teaspoon is just enough! I as well add together fresh mushrooms and cut them in sixths (I love my fungus ;) ) But this is ane of our favorite dinners! Its super like shooting fish in a barrel and makes plenty for left overs! And always a crowd pleaser!! I recommend it 100% :)
04/27/2011
I really made this according to the recipe...unusual for me:-) My only change was to use fresh mushrooms instead of canned, which may have caused the only problem I had. The sauce was also thin, so maybe the fresh mushrooms gave upward more than liquid than canned would have? Either that or I should have used more cornstarch. At any charge per unit...hands correctable next time. Flavor was excellent & I will get in once more. It was likewise a piddling on the bland side...but I did omit most of the seasoning salt...and a few garlic cloves wouldn't hurt it. Overall, a proficient recipe.
06/17/2002
My sixteen yr old son made this recipe and it turned out really good. I told him well-nigh the other comments about the table salt so he didn't use as much. Also, nosotros used fresh mushrooms instead of canned . We will brand this again. We really enjoyed the meal.
02/14/2006
Great taste.....I agree with the others that information technology is a little too salty. Should have read the reviews before. I also was SHOCKED at the fat content, so I tried to slim it down a bit by using low fat ingredients and slicing an eye of circular steak instead of using the stew meat. The taste was the same. Just skinnier. :) Peachy recipe!
11/11/2007
This was the best beefiness stroganoff I have ever made. My family unit really enjoyed information technology. I did however, utilise i/2 of the season salt and a footling less bacon. I as well used chopped garlic when I sauteed the onion, celery, and salary. I will definitely make this again. Thanks!
11/16/2010
This is a can't miss recipe! I forgot the bacon, misread what to practice with the mushrooms and ended up putting them in with the onions and garlic. (I did add garlic considering we like it.) I also used a 1lb round steak sliced into strips because that was what I had. I did wait until but before serving to add the sour cream though and my husbsnd loved information technology and and then did I! I also breaded before browning, calculation some of the spice into the flour. Perfect thickness of the sauce. Poured over egg noodles. i matter I nearly forgot, I used beef boullion for the broth since I was out of beef goop.
03/08/2005
this recipie call for fashion to much common salt.
02/21/2012
this is wonderful!!
04/18/2012
i skipped the celery, the seasoning, and the bacon. I wanted a bones beefiness stroganoff. Also you can utilize any noodles you desire-to save coin. This is a skilful first time recipe for me. thanks. way better than box stuff.
02/17/2010
Easy, tasty......
01/18/2010
I cutting the meat a piffling thinner, dredged it in flour(so no cornstarch) and but used two cans of broth. I used fresh mushrooms. OMG everything IS better with BACON
09/09/2001
Excellent recipe, Since everyone said it was to salty I used depression sodium and low fat broth, non-fatty sour cream and one tsp seasoning common salt. Information technology turned out good. Not to salty, I did utilise all the bacon and I don't recall information technology was to much...thanks for the dandy recipe. michelle
08/02/2006
Prepared this recipe final night and my family LOVED It! A dissimilar accept on beef stroganoff. A unlike method from the same way I prepared it for xx yrs. Highly recommend this 1!
09/19/2010
I read many reviews earlier I made this so I knew not to add too much seasoning salt Nonetheless, I didn't really intendance for the recipe--it tastes too much of worcestershire sauce and is really sparse rather than creamy.
03/01/2005
Wasn't what I expected the sauce was very runny :( I even doubled the cornstarch like one of the reviews had mentioned. It actually tasted better the side by side solar day after I put the sauce over the noodles and permit it sit down overnight, like a tweaked beef and noodles. If I make again, I will add garlic and maybe just 4 oz of sour foam and MORE cornstarch to thicken. and two cans of beef goop. In fact I thought it needed more salt added to it and I am non a saltaholic! Will try again, information technology is always amend second time around.
02/17/2003
This was the kickoff time i e'er fifty-fifty ate stroganoff, and I liked it, likewise equally my hubby and his friends. Still, information technology could have definatly used some carrots, greenish beans, fifty-fifty potatoes...mmmmm! I followed the recipe exactly, omitting the table salt, and constitute that the bacon took a long time to cook. Later on simmering for the 1 1/2 hrs, i removed the floating salary pieces and discarded them...they didn't look to flavory! But thanks for the recipe we willl use it once more!
06/27/2001
Leave out the seasoning salt. This is a very proficient recipe, but also salty. I will make information technology again...but leave out the common salt.
07/24/2006
What a cracking recipe!! Every bit other suggested, I cutting back on the amount of salt my half and it was perfect. This is full of great flavor and anybody in my family enjoyed this. I will definitely be making this again.
12/23/2006
This recipe was different than the one I normally use for beef stronganoff. The sauce was a little thinner than I similar just it made upward for it in flavour (which my husband raved well-nigh). I did make a few changes - i. I left out the celery because I didn't want to run to the store, 2. I used fresh mushrooms, 3. I left out the seasoning salt subsequently reading some reviews. Information technology was plenty salty with the beefiness broth and the worchestershire sauce, 4. I used lowfat sour cream. It is a expert recipe and I'll be making information technology again.
01/27/2002
It was great. My whole family loved information technology. I think it called for just a footling fleck also much seasoning table salt though.
03/04/2007
This was wonderful! Nosotros loved it here, I used one teaspoon of seasoned salt as we rarely put salt on anything. I also used fresh mushrooms instead of canned, I loved the mode they tasted sauted and put in at the end they didn't get mushy!
05/24/2007
If I make this again I will season the beef with garlic powder and glaze information technology with flour so information technology isn't and then runny. I used 1 tsp of table salt and information technology was enough.
03/24/2001
I institute that this recipie was way also salty even after taking Paula'south communication and cut back on the salt. The broth adds enough salt that no extra is needed. Otherwise a Great recipie!! I'm definately going to make information technology again.
10/09/2012
I love this recipe and employ it all the time. I substitute onion powder and celery table salt for the veggies and go out out the mushrooms. I also flour the stew meat before browning so I don't need cornstarch. Thanks for this one!
01/01/2003
Excellent. It is so rewarding to attempt cooking a new dish and have it plough out looking and tasting just similar y'all imagine information technology should. This recipe is very simple to follow, and easily modified according to anyone's taste, or what you do/don't have in the refrigerater.
08/01/2013
I've made this recipe several times, always with ground beef, which shortens the cooking time significantly and makes it into a great weekday dinner. Likewise, Please, PLEASE DO Not utilize the stated amount of seasoning common salt, equally other reviewers have mentioned! Simply common salt to taste. Otherwise, a good dish that'due south skillful for leftovers, too.
07/12/2006
That has to exist a typo for the 2 tablespoons of Seasoning table salt. Fashion too much table salt. No good at all.
12/28/2005
Very practiced! Did not have fourth dimension to simmer beef, and so I prepared information technology with the onions and celery in the pressure cooker. Preparing beef this way required less beef stock as well. My family unit actually enjoyed it!
x/27/2003
This recipe has bully potential. But, I didn't read the reviews about reducing the amount of seasoned salt, and was very sorry that I didn't. It was style likewise salty. Also, I would double the amount of egg noodles. A definite practice-over, nonetheless.
10/23/2001
I've got picky boys that won't eat anything, but they dear this recipe! I cutting down the seasoning common salt alot (to 2 tsp) and added some white pepper to give it a little zing.
08/11/2008
Whoa as me!!!! I was in such a hurry that I printed this recipe, just did not read the viewers comments......BEWARE!!!! DO NOT ADD two TBS OF SEASONED SALT!!! My instincts were telling me it was also much, but alas I did not pay attention. It was still good, but really salty. I too added fresh sliced mushrooms in the last 15 minutes of stewing and it was perfect. I added a little more than sourcream and the next day when I warmed it upward I had to add together a little more water and cornstartch to thicken. I will definitely make this again
03/05/2009
This was my kickoff time making stroganoff and it was wonderful. We would add more sour cream, and less worchestershire. Thanks.
x/11/2004
This recipe is magnificent! My husband is NEVER one to eat leftovers - this recipe is eaten 2 nights in a row, and has supplanted his craven cacciatore as his favorite "comfort nutrient. These are the changes I adapted to it though: --I hold that the amount of salt called for is ridiculous, so I cut it to only a dusting over the whole lot in step 2, --added one extra stalk of celery, --cut the bacon and Worcestershire chosen for by one-half, --added ii carrots (diced like the other vegetables), --used ane/2 box of the fresh white mushrooms rather than the canned. --I too, agree that as is, the sauce is a scrap runny, and then I doubled the cornstarch/common cold water mixture. --Oh, and for the beef broth, used the low sodium multifariousness.
11/sixteen/2013
I honey reading the reviews and taking swell ideas from them. This is a meal that stands alone. JMVHO, but I wouldn't change anything.
11/23/2004
Fashion TO SALTY
01/31/2005
This was too salty. I even use depression sodium beef broth. It was too thick and a little darker then usual. I found with the bacon and oil it was a little heavy and a little greasy. I volition probably look for a unlike recipe in the hereafter.
xi/05/2007
This was yummy! I was a little hesitent because of all the mixed reviews. It seems the biggest problem is with the salt but I figured this was an easy fix and decided to risk. I did leave out the common salt entirely. I coated the meat in seasoned flour & simmered uncovered almost of the time to reduce the liquid a picayune. I also added onion powder & pepper during simmering & to the final issue. I noticed a thick film of grease on peak so I had to proceed trying to scrape some of this off. I likewise only added a couple spoons of sour cream. I served over egg noodles that I coated lightly with melted butter and a shake of garlic powder. Kids really enjoyed!!
10/21/2001
I made this on a campout and was a big hit with 20 adults. I left out the salt every bit suggested by others and used less goop. I also used broth instead of water to prepare the corn starch.
08/04/2006
This comes out great everytime. I as well serve it with mash potatoes instead of eggnoodles.
03/fourteen/2001
I found this recipe to be Fashion Besides SALTY!!!! It was then salty, that one-half of the family unit ended upwards feeding their plates to the domestic dog. Did anyone else detect that this was the case? I remember 2 tsp. of seasoning salt would have been OK, not ii TBL...
02/02/2009
I brand this all the time (once a month...). We love it. I omit the flavour common salt and cut dorsum on the worchestershire sauce though. The amounts caled for in the recipe brand it too salty for my taset. Fantastic recipe otherwise. I use the leftovers like creamed chipped beef and serve them the next 24-hour interval over toast.
04/xv/2008
I didn't use any of the salt called for in this recipe. I used half depression common salt beef broth and half sherry. Threw in my usual garlic and onion powders and because I felt information technology was too liquidy, I added a can of low table salt cream of mushroom soup. Fresh mushrooms and the leftover skirt steak I had worked well. Thanks Karena.
04/26/2015
beloved it when we make information technology though i wld omit the salary dowsnt really add annihilation
09/xix/2016
Way too salty
02/05/2001
Very good recipe. My picky 10 year old had three helpings.
01/thirty/2007
WONDERFUL ... My married man yummed on the first gustatory modality and then ate too much of it and notwithstanding yummed on the last bit!! .... very nice!! .. i didnt use any seasoned common salt .. only salted to taste !! .. and i used 8oz fresh mushrooms!! ... will definitely be making once again!!
03/25/2003
Admittedly wonderful. Hot, flossy, and very filling. I made this for my beau's family (his mom, two daughters, and all-time friend) and all of them loved information technology. Now, they ask me to brand information technology a lot. Great recipe!
06/sixteen/2004
This recipe got mixed results. I thought it was ok. My 17 and 7 year-olds wouldn't swallow it. My iv year old ate hers, and the 17 and 7 yr-olds, so I carve up the difference on the rating. I'm non sure that it's off-white to the recipe though. I can't say that I'd change annihilation, it was tasty simply I besides don't recall I'll make it once again considering of the picky eaters
03/01/2008
I was disappointed in this recipe. I guess I actually didn't like the bacon flavor.
01/twenty/2005
This recipe is the all-time!! I go great comments whenever I make is, is WELL worth the little extra time!! Cheers!!
07/16/2001
This was excellent! I had to make a few modifications of my own, though. I put in a little less bacon because the 1/2 pound overpowered the taste a chip. I also felt it was missing something (spice), then I added a footling blackness pepper & some parsley. Cracking recipe! My neice loved it.
xi/06/2006
also salty, skillful though....
11/30/2016
Didn't add seasoning salt the second fourth dimension around - much better!
04/07/2003
I cooked this for my family one night. Information technology was really skilful, if it was a little thicker it would accept been perfect. but got great raves from the family!
10/06/2016
It's very runny, only delicious.
08/12/2008
im only giving this 4 stars considering of all of the changes everyone had to make. i had to nearly double the cornstarch, didnt add whatsoever salt, just used 3 slices of bacon. i also thinly sliced round steak(was what i had on mitt) and seasoned it with a ton of paprika, fresh cracked pepper, dry mustard, and some garlic powder earlier browning it. I used sliced fresh mushrooms and sauted them with the onions. I served this on summit of homemade egg noodles and oven roasted brussel sprouts on the side. next time will decrease the broth corporeality past half and use the cornstarch every bit written in recipe
07/25/2004
Good stuff, gets runny after adding the sour cream.
04/05/2005
Practiced but fashion also salty and I am a saltaholic
02/07/2021
This recipe turned out quite well. I will certainly make it again.
01/17/2021
This was a hit with my family! The only things I did different was using real mushrooms, portobellos, cause I needed to use them upward, and used no bacon, as it was all in the freezer. Oops. I will definitely use this again. Very filling!
03/13/2006
Not sure what happened, but information technology took much longer than I expected and didn't taste all that nifty.
eleven/23/2004
This was a not bad recipe, my whole family loved it! Takes a while to make simply well worth the effort!
eleven/17/2008
I plant that 3 cans of beef broth was to much, I used 2 and probably xi/two would accept been enough. I also did not have whatsoever worchestire sauce on hand, so instead of cornstarch to thick the sauce I used a parcel of dark-brown gravy. Information technology was nonetheless a little thin and so next time I'll add 2 packets of gravy. Overall very practiced I like a lot of sourcream in mine so I added additional to my private serving. DF who does not like sourcream said that information technology was skilful even with it.
02/04/2018
Used two c. unsalted broth and 2 c. regular. Seemed like too much liquid. Coated meat in ane/iv c flour before starting and then after cooking an hour and a half I added two T cornstarch, and then another after calculation the sour cream, every bit it notwithstanding was a bit thin. Afraid of it beingness also salty, I only added 1/ii tsp. seasoned salt initially, then nosotros added to sense of taste subsequently the fact. I am guessing the way I did the broth maybe 2 tsp would exist nearly correct. Definitely employ fresh mushrooms! I also added 1/2 tsp minced garlic and used only ii pc. bacon. Both my husband and son liked this, and they are somewhat picky, so I guess this is a keeper. I will maybe employ less goop and more cornstarch next time to see if I can thicken information technology up. Since nosotros have actress "liquid" and non much meat left over, I will make it go further past subbing some ground beefiness and maybe serve over rice, just to change it up a bit. I similar idea of cooking salary separately so yous can drain off grease- then use less to melt onion and celery in.
04/22/2001
This was very dissimilar, merely very, very good. I will definitely brand this again.
02/27/2007
This recipe is awsome.. fifty-fifty my picky eaters liked it!
05/31/2001
My husband went on and on and on about this meal. He loved it then much that he said that he thought about it the adjacent twenty-four hour period at piece of work and couldn't wait to get domicile and eat the leftovers. I used beef broth with onions already in it and left out the seasoning salt and onions
12/30/2003
very tasty! I used leftover roast beefiness and it was much easier and reduced the cooking time (in addition to recreating leftovers!)I converted the recipe to four servings. I substituted 1 tin of beefiness broth for depression sodium beef broth and information technology was even so plenty salty. I also used lowfat sourcream and it was all the same delicious.
04/21/2007
very good, didn't utilise the seasoned salt or whatsoever salt and used fresh mushrooms a keeper for sure.
10/13/2005
alittle bland going to add somemore spices next time but all in all a good recipe
05/26/2001
Remember to remove extra grease and do not add more common salt, the beacon has a alot of salt.
01/18/2004
This recipe was easy to make but I would cut back on the salt. extremely salty
01/29/2004
I was hesitant to try this considering I have had a lot of bad beef stroganoff but this was great. I did halve the amount of seasoning table salt and it was still enough salty. I may just omit the seasoning common salt next time. I used 10 oz cans of soup instead of 14 oz and reduced the simmer fourth dimension to 45 minutes and it came out perfect!
03/09/2008
This is a recipe that I brand after a long day at work. Flavorful, like shooting fish in a barrel and quick! I e'er table salt to taste in recipes (unless its bread)and I never had a problem with salt levels. Fresh mushrooms instead of canned were perfect! It makes a lot of food...just I've never had better leftovers!!!

Incredibly delicious version of a classic dish- I left out the seasoning salt and cutting dorsum on the bacon a bit, merely it was YUMMMY!!! My MOM was impressed!!!!! :-)

Very tasty. Just a few changes. Skipped oil and sautéed onions and celery in bacon grease. Used 2Tabls butter to brown beef. Used ricotta instead of sour cream. It was delicious

This recipe was okay. The sauce was too runny but the beef came out really tender. I might try it again but I'd take to tweak information technology to get a thicker sauce.
